Industry Unplugged

Hello fellow networkers! Boy, are things changing in the industry. At the time of this writing, the DSA (Direct Selling Association) which is the regulator of this industry reported that the world of MLM has been growing consistently since 1999 at an astonishing rate of 90% annually.

In more specific terms, that works out to about 500,000 NEW reps every month in just the U.S. alone. The entire industry is currently doing about $80 billion a year with the U.S. accounting for $30 Billion of that chunk.

Paul Zane pilzer, a world renown economist has said that the MLM industry will produce over 300,000 millionaires in the United States between 2006 and 2016.

It wasn’t too long ago that it was common for people to think that only the uneducated or the unfortunate in the way of having a high income producing career were the only candidates that would flock to the opportunity of MLM.

That point of view is truly outdated and obsolete.

One of the wealthiest men in America, Warren Buffett, recently said that one of the smartest decisions he's made throughout his business career was when he purchased a very well known direct selling company by the name of Pampered Chef.

The whole point of this entry isn't to inform or convince you that the world of MLM is a legit, viable opportunity (despite the few obvious scams). Rather, this letter is to keep the serious networker abreast of the different issues that are hitting our industry like the plague.

Stay tuned as I post the first series of my "Industry Unplugged" newsletter that was read by more than 3,735 readers in less than 5 days with a phenomenal feedback.

Until then,
Good luck on your Marketing endeavors!
